Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Trisakti Port in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, from D-1 and D+3 of Idul Fitri 1437 H lonely of activity. No passenger ships dock.


Keep Post Officer of Banjarmasin Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Abdurrahman on Friday said the conditions of the port has been deserted of activities both ships incoming and outgoing since one day before Eid (D-1) till three days after (D+3) or Tueday (5/7) to Saturday (09/07).

"Information we got there will be roro ship to come, that is KM Kumala, on Sunday (10/7) from the port of Surabaya," he said.

According to him, only one ship was only informed to come, and this could increase if the passengers return to Banjarmasin increased.

"And that's also when the weather is good in shipping, because so far informed weather is less friendly," he said.

Abdurrahman also stated, the lack of cruise ship passengers arrive in Banjarmasin this year, because the passenger is reduced while there are other port such as in Sampit, Central Kalimantan.

"It's been two years we have quite less passengers come and go through our port," he said.

Most passengers who arrive and depart at the port are from or to Surabaya and Semarang.

He said, the number of passengers coming and going from the port during Eid homecoming season this year amounted to 9,727 people. This is down from 2015 when as many as 12 284 people came and went.
