Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, police arrested nine G-class drug and crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) dealers.


"They all caught thanks to raids action ahead of Ramadan," said Police Chief AKBP Sentot Adi Sik in Pelaihari, Monday.

He said the arrests were the successful of five sector police to uncover the cases of nine drug dealers.

Along with them some evidence secured, such as money Rp500 thousand, sabu-sabu weighing 0.34 grams. While G-class drugs secured were 1,610 pills Carnophen, 3,358 pill Dextrometrophen, Seledryl 450 pills, and Ifarsyl 350 pills.

The nine suspects were currently under examination by the police who arrested and apprehended them. They were arrested by the Jorong, Kurau, Tambang Ulang, and Bati-Bati Sector Police, and Tanah Laut District Police.

"Their laws sanctions are different. For a G-class drug suspect to be charged with Health Act, while crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) suspects subject to Narcotics Act," said the former head of Banjarmasin Intel Police unit.

The graduated of Police Academy class of 1998 also said that the arrest of the perpetrators is one attempt by Board ofTanah Laut district police in creating order and security ahead of Ramadan, 2016.
