Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarbaru Drug Investigation Unit Police (Satresnarkoba) has dismantled sabu-sabu dealers ring in the city.


"The drug dealers ring we have dismantled consists of four men and one woman," said Head of the Banjarbaru Satresnarkoba AKP Sumardi here on Friday.

He said the five suspects arrested were IM (27), a woman, who was rounded up at Jalan Trikora, Wednesday (18/5) with a package of sabu-sabu (crsytal methamphetamine) weighing 0.4 grams.

After IM, officers apprehended DB (30), who gave sabu-sabu to IM, and continued with the arrest of a suspect, HS, with evidence of sabu-sabu weighing 4.93 grams.

Then officers continues to develop and apprehended AR, as a supplier of crystal methamphetamine to HS. AR was arrested along with his partner, JA, which was tested positive for the meth.

"The suspect JA is not included in the ring because he simply accompanied AR, but he still penalized for urine tested positive with meth," he said.

According to the head drug police, his unit is still developing the case of four meth dealers despite difficulties because the network is disconnected.

"We are still developing the case and expect to capture the main dealers and other meth dealers who have lot of activity in the area of Banjarmasin," he said.

He said the five suspects subject to Article 132 in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, under penalty of a minimum of 5 years.
