Students of the public elementary school SDN Kupang 2 in Tapin District, South Kalimantan, worked hand in hand to clean up their school from the debris left by the flood. 

"Every time it floods, we always work together to clean the class rooms. This time the floods are quite deep and the mud is quite thick," said the school's sport teacher Radimin here on Saturday.

The clean up of 10 class rooms of the primary school, which is located on the Tapin watershed area, was assisted by the local firefighters group of BPK 011 Kupang.

They used water machine in the action that involved students, teachers, and volunteers.

Head of the Tapin Education Agency Irnawati said that her office is recording the number of schools affected by the flood in the district.

"Maybe this Monday we will find out the result of the recapitulation," she said. 

Based on the report of the Tapin Disaster Mitgation Agency (BPBD), there were four sub-districts affected by the floods, including Tapin Utara, Tapin Selatan, Bakarangan, and Bungur. 

As many as 3.712 people affected by the flood. The data was based on the BPBD calculation of the floods that hit Tapin on February 2-3. 

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God) the flood has receded," said Head of the Tapin BPBD Raniansyah when confirmed.
