Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Water Police Unit (Satpolair), Banjarmasin Emergency team, and residents found a drowning victim in died condition.
"The victim who drowned was found Saturday night and immediately evacuated," said Agus, a Banjarmasin Emergency volunteer on Sunday.
He said the drowning victim was identified as Wahyu Hidayat (14), a resident of Jalan Sultan Adam Complex Bumi Graha Lestari RT14 No. 01 Line 2 Orphanage Ar-Risalah. The victim was found on Saturday (20/2) night around 23:25.
Wahyu Hidayat drowned in Sungai Awang, but then residents found his remain quite far from where he drowned, namely in Kayu Tangi Ujung River, North Banjarmasin.
The body of the victim who was a school student was later resided at the Ulin General Hospital morgue in order to do the post mortem.
"The victim has been taken to the morgue after being found in Kayu Tangi Ujung River," he said.
The victim was drowned on Friday (19/2) at around 17:30 pm after swimming in the Awang River, North Banjarmasin, along with his friends.
Since receiving report of case of a child drowning, Satpolair, the Emergency Team and local residents search the victim.
