Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Waste end processing facility in Banjar District is getting full, so trash governance is getting good and the environment can be saved.


Head of the Banjar Housing and Settlement Agency (Disperkim) Boyke W Triestiyanto in Martapura on Sunday said the facilities available at the TPA (disposal site) Cahaya Kencana almost complete.

"The facilities at the TPA are almost complete. Means of supporting infrastructure are already available, so that the governance of trash is getting better," he said.

He said, the completeness facility of disposal located at Karang Intan Sub-district was reported to the Vice Regent Saidi Mansyur at a meeting on Friday (19/2). "We are pleased Vice Regent support our measures in environmental management with supporting facilities at the TPA Cahaya Kencana," he said.

He mentioned the facilities now availabe are hangar recycling, weighbridge, sanitary landfill, biofilter pond, and a green house which add to the impression of a beautiful TPA.

Disperkim also build mud feces treatment plant (IPLT) which will be very useful for environmental management in the district.

"The more complete the facilities available at the disposal site, make the waste management better, so it can contribute positively to the environment," he said.

On the other hand, he said, the disposal site conditions also getting better because the environment is beautiful, clean and very far from being a seedy, dirty and smelly.

TPA environmental made as waste bank, in addition to the organic and non-organic waste sorting, making crafts with use of waste or 3R, and composting.

"Waste is also producing methane gas, which could be used as a source of electrical energy and fuels, especially for the surrounding communities," he said.
