Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Stagen Sector Police arrested an owner of counterfeit money whose initial Bn (49), a resident of South Sulawesi.
Kotabaru District Police chief AKBP H Suhasto through Stagen Police Chief Inspector H Gatot here on Monday said from the hand of the suspect police confiscated 50,000 counterfeit currency denomination as many as 44 pieces or as if Rp10.200.000.
"In addition to Rp50,000 denomination counterfeit money, police also succeeded in securing evidence in the form of mobile phone brands Nokia," he explained.
He said the police arrested suspects in room number 2 Berkah Lodging in Kotabaru.
"Suspect secured after police received reports from citizens 15 minutes before," said Billy.
To account his misdeed, suspect charged under Article 245 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) on Counterfeit Money and threatened with a sentence to a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.
