Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Balangan District Health Agency now wary of dengue attack by distributing free abate powder in anticipation of mosquito larvae breeding in neighborhood homes.
Program Management of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) of Balangan Health Agency Hasmi in Paringin said Saturday, in addition to distributing abate powder, several activities also carried out, from education to the public about the effects and how to cope with the spread of dengue mosquitoes.
"We also do prevention by fogging. Fogging is done based on reports of citizens, as well as from data recorded at the hospital about the attack of dengue in an area", he said.
According to Hasmi, the whole prevention is done after the health office get information about the victims affected by dengue.
Victims of dengue in Balangan recorded for the month of December were 25 cases, and for 1 year there were 164 cases, two of them died.
