PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (ITP) welcomes Ramadan 1443 Hijriyah by sharing assistance with partners villages simultaneously throughout its factories.
Director & Corporate Secretary Antonius Marcos said this is an annual routine program that is expected to help the community to undergo fasting activities in the month of Ramadan.
"Another hope is of course that these program can increase sense of togetherness between partner village communities and Indocement," he noted in a press statement.
The COVID-19 pandemic situation, he said, did not stop the implementation of Indocement's CSR program for partner villages.
Ramadan assistance at the Citeureup Factory Complex in the form of zakat rice was distributed to 12 partner villages and 3 sub-district in Bogor District.
The Cirebon Factory Complex organized the program of assistance in the form of rice package for partner villages and aid for worship tools and takjil (light snack for iftar or breaking the fast) for 40 mushalas and mosques in the partner villages area.
Meanwhile, the Tarjun Factory Complex made a friendly visit and handed over gifts and assistance to community representatives from partner villages.
He explained that the mainstay corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, such as environmentally friendly villages, community-based waste management, adiwiyata school program, MSME development program, and development of tourist attractions continue to run.
"Throughout 2021, Indocement has carried out 916 community empowerment activities with a total fund of Rp12.6 billion," he said.
