The first week of Ramadan, Board of Directors of PT Adaro Indonesia, led by President Director Priyadi, visited the study area and development of post-mining project in the former Adaro mining area in Balangan District.
Together with HRGA & IT Director Djohan Nurhjadi, Marketing Director Hendri Tan, Finance Director Heri Gunawan, Procurement Director Lili Partiwi, and Operations Director Wahyu Sulistyo, the went around to see firsthand the development of the integrated post-mining study.
Starting from floating dock, with a number of observation ponds for releasing fish seeds, kelulut honey cultivation, raising local types of fish, to a book entitled avifauna, were clearly exposed that morning, Wednesday (April 6, 2022).
"The question that often revolves around of what to do with the excavated pit after mining is no longer the central question. With the development of integrated area like this, of course it will be the answer as well as a role model to be applied in other mining managed by Adaro," said Priyadi.
Besides, he continued, almost all coal mines in Indonesia have character and characteristics in the development of post-mining program.
"Adaro, with what is currently going on, is trying its best to integrate a number of aspects, including environment, social, and economic values," he expounded.
In line with Priyadi, Hendri Tan also emphasized that the value of sustainability must be implemented in all aspects.
"Adaro has always pay attention to mining and post-mining, which care about nature conservation, social environment safety, as well as the welfare of its stakeholders," he said.
Hendri also advised the team to maintain the spirit to keep learning, to be willing to adapt to the changing times that taking place, the increasng rapid progress of science and technology.
All of that, he said, was Adaro's contribution to making Indonesia more prosperous.
