State-run oil and gas company PT Pertamina’s commercial and trading sub-holding PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that aviation turbine (avtur) fuel supply will be adequate amid the implementation of the 2022 Moto Grand Prix of Indonesia.
Regional executive general manager of the sub-holding for East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus), Denny Djukardi, informed that an aircraft fueling depot has been provided at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM), Central Lombok district, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province.
"Amid the implementation of the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test on February 11–13, 2022, there was an increase in avtur consumption in the region from an average of 28 kiloliters to 56 kiloliters per day,” he said in an official statement issued here on Thursday.
Furthermore, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has projected that avtur consumption during the MotoGP championship, will surge from an average of 30 kiloliters to 111 kiloliters per day – or more than 300 percent.
Djukardi assured that the aircraft fueling depot has sufficient facilities and equipment to meet avtur demands during the racing event.
“The depot has four vertical tanks with a capacity of up to 1,000 kiloliters and a number of refueller units. Our infrastructure has been readied to serve flights to and from NTB province during the racing event," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Jatimbalinus regional communication, relations, and corporate social responsibility manager for the sub-holding, Deden Mochamad Idhani, said that the company is committed to meeting the public’s energy demands, including fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, and petrochemical products to make the international event a success.

The 2022 Moto Grand Prix of Indonesia will take place at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok district, NTB province from March 18–20, 2022.
