The Dayak Customary Council (DAD) of Balangan appreciated the achievement of 100 percent vaccination of Sasirin Small ElementarySchool (SDK) in Uren Village, Halong Sub-district, Balangan.

"Thank you to the indigenous Dayak community, especially the parents of students who have fully supported vaccination activities," said Chief of DAD Balangan Mandan in Paringin, Thursday.

According to him, Dayak society, in this case the parents of students, have an important role in persuading their children to take vaccination to avoid COVID-19.

In addition, he admitted, the awareness of Dayak community is also very high on the importance of preventing the very deadly disease of COVID-19.

"Even though they live in the interior of Meratus, the awareness of our customary community of Dayak toward health protocols is very commendable," said Mandan.

He also appreciated and thanked the health workers and teh Balangan COVID-19 Task Force team, who until now have always protected the customary community of Dayak from COVID-19.

"We hope that even though people have been vaccinated, they still have to maintain health protocols to continue to fight against COVID-19," he said.
