Chairman of the Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) Sairi Mukhlis disbursed 1,000 BPJS Health insurance cards to residents of 12 villages of Kelumpang Tengah Sub-district.

"This is awesome for people who receive the BPJS, because the installments will be paid by the state," he said as reported on Sunday.

He hopes that the card is really used for people in need.

"We still continue to push Social Agency to help print BPJS card for several sub-districts that are still having problems," he said.

In fact, he continued, their residents were registered as recipients of the National Health Insurance and Healthy Indonesia Card (JKN-KIS) Program which is funded by the state budget (APBN). Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon.
