Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews.Kalsel) - A total of 56 villages in the district of North Hulu Sungai are still low access to clean water and sanitation, so that the necessary assistance Pansimas Program.


District Pansimas Program Coordinator Muhammad Zakki in Amuntai on Tuesday said the establishment of 56 villages is the result of a working meeting with Health Agency and Public Works Agency.

"So the 56 villages in the district are considered low access to clean water and sanitation that they need assistance with Pansimas expected to be completed in 2019," he said.

Zakki said based on the target of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Pansimas program is expected to complete in 2019, when all low access to clean water and sanitation villages got the help of this program.

However, said Zakki, it is not certain all 56 villages receive Pansimas assistance, because it must be on the basis of approval of the community and through selection.

"Especially the people must committed willing to manage the Pansimas for the purpose and intent of this program can be achieved," he explained.

Zakki confirms the 56 villages planned to receive Pansimas to 2019 does not mean all affordable to taps water services. "Although water taps have gone into the village, but not all citizens enjoy," he said.
