Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Personnel of District Military Command (Kodim) 1006/Martapura, South Kalimantan, ready to build hundreds latrine (toilet) in the district of Banjar and Banjarbaru


Commander of Kodim 1006 Lt. Col. Ade Putra Eka here on Tuesday said the construction of hundreds of latrines is as a follow-up of verbal commands of Commander of Regional Military (Kodam) VI/ Mulawarman to making latrines in the framework of 57th anniversary of Kodam.

"This was marked with the laying of the first toilet on Tuesday (14/7) in one of the house in the village of Tanjung Rema, Martapura," said the commander after the event.

He explained that the toilet building program is the social activities carried out by ranks of military command VI/Mulawarman and realized throughout unit level of Kodim.

"We support programs and ready to build hundreds of latrines in the homes of citizens, especially from among the underprivileged," said the commander.

According to him, the District Military 1006 personnel ready to make latrines for underprivileged people who need a toilet in their homes. "If they can prepare materials, it would be better," he said.

He emphasized, latrine construction is expected to improve the lives and health through clean lifestyle which starts in each environment.
