Over 54,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the donation of the Indonesian Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI) and CSR of PT Subur Agro Makmur (SAM) were prepared for mass vaccination in South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District.

The District Secretary of HSS H Muhammad Noor here on Monday (20/9) said the mass vaccination from the donation of GAPKI and PT SAM will be commenced on September 24, 2021.

"The 54,000 doses will be allocated to the public and students," he said after chairing a vaccination coordination meeting with GAPKI.

He explained that the coordination meeting followed up the certainty of preparations in order for the implementation to run smoothly because HSS was designated as the center of the implementation of vaccination and would be monitored directly by President H Joko Widodo.

His party synchronizes, such as what preparation must be made, so that on the day of implementation it will run well without obstacles.

GAPKI's vaccination coordinator in HSS Budhi Wahyudi said that the implementation plan was postponed to September 24, 2021, from the original plan.

"We have prepared 50,000 doses of vaccine from GAPKI, then added with 4,500 doses as a donation from PT SAM's CSR bringing the total to 54,500 doses of vaccine," he said.

According to him, the type of vaccine distributed according to recommendation is Sinovac, considering the target are school students for the implementation of face-to-face learning. Sinovac can be applied to children aged 12 years.

The coordination meeting was attended by Head of Health Agency Hj Siti Zainab, Head of HSS Religious Affairs Ministry Office H Saribuddin, Head of Education and Culture Agency Hj Siti Erma, Head of Satpol PP H Iwan Friady, Head of Communication and Informatics Agency Hj Rahmawati, other officials and headmaster of SMP 1 Kandangan.
