Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto appreciated the Banjarbaru government who is considered successful in reducing the case of COVID-19 infection. 

"I appreciate all parties in Banjarbaru who continue to work hard in bringing down the death rate and the spread of COVID-19. It is proven that the numbers have been going down," he said in Banjarbaru, Friday. 

The Coordinating Minister was accompanied by acting Governor of South Kalimantan Safrizal ZA to visit Sungai Ulin, the pilot urban village for implementing health protocols in Banjarbaru. 

The entourage was welcome by Banjarbaru Mayor H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin, Deputy Mayor Wartono, head of sub-district, head of Sungai Ulin Urban Village, as well as the forum of neighborhood units (RT) and community units (RW) at the Citra Garden City Complex.

The minister also reviewed the place of isolation Health Training Center (Bapelkes) followed by a coordination meeting at the Provincial Government Office.

His visit to Banjarbaru was part of his working visits. Previously he observed mass vaccination at the Hasanudin Sports Center (GOR) Banjarmasin.
