Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin Heryudhitiawan Handy said the construction of the airport expansion to begin in late June 2015.
"Our estimates, the construction of the airport begin in late June. And on Wednesday (3/6), the central team plans to review the location," he said in Banjarbaru on Tuesday.
He said the central team that will be accompanied by the construction company looking directly down to the field of airport expansion located in Banjarbaru.
He estimates that, after seeing directly to the site, a joint center executive team will decide the initial activity of the airport development plan worth Rp2.3 trillion.
"Actually, the decision to start construction is of the authority of center and we just run because of its location here," said Handy, who is a new GM.
According to him, if the construction starts, the entire airport activity certainly is not compromised because of the location of workmanship is quite far away with the old terminal aerodrome.
"The location is different so that we can be sure of activity at the old airport terminal is not compromised. We hope that the construction went smoothly as the target," he said.
Earlier, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, on Monday (18/5) laid the first
stone marking the development of the airport expansion whose construction accounted for two years.
