A total of 173 inmates at the Kandangan State Detention Center (Rutan), Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District, have been administered the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Head of the Kandangan Detention Center Jeremia Leonta here on Friday (August 6, 2021) said that the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine for group I was given to 173 of the total 176 people in the inmate block.
"Those are rooms 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 (tamping), 12, and 13 (women block), and three people were postponed because they did not meet the requirement for vaccine recipients. One cough, one cold, and the other with blood pressure > 200 mmHg," he said.
He explained that the vaccination was carried out as one of the efforts to prevent and control COVID-19, especially within the Kandangan Detention Center.

The vaccination was carried out by the vaccinator team from Sungai Raya Community Health Center (puskesmas) and Kalumpang Puskesmas.
"Under the auspices of HSS Health Office and in collaboration with the HSS Police, the vaccination was conducted at the inner courtyard of Kandangan Detention Center," he said.
