Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Army together with a number of regional work units (SKPD) in Kotabaru district conducteda sudden inspections at Kemakmuran central market here to anticipate the circulation of synthetic rice.
Kotabaru District Military (Kodim) 1004 Commander Lt. Col. Inf Khabib Mahfud here on Friday said at least 15 distributors and rice agents in the market visited by the team and did not find any synthetic rice.
"This inspection at least give shock therapy if there is a person who intends to circulate synthetic rice," said the commander.
The team, which consist of Kodim, Trade and Market Management Agency, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Industry Agency, did not find synthetic rice, and found no unfit for consumption.
Khabib recognizes the rice price in Kotabaru is still relatively stable, although in other areas recently experience an increase in the price of rice.
Earlier, Head of Trade and Market Management Agency Mahyudiansyah, accompanied with Head of Trade Kusairin Ahmad, said the price of rice in the Kotabaru markets reatively stable, although some rice imported from outside the region, such as Sulawesi, Surabaya and other areas.
