Members of Commission III of the Banjarbaru DPRD observed Idaman General Hospital to ensure that COVID-19 patients who crowded the city government hospital were served properly. 

"We want to check patients service, how the performance of health workers. at the same time absorb various problems at the hospital while dealing with COVID-19," said Chairman of the commission HR Budiman, Wednesday night. 

According to Budiman, who was accompanied by Deputy Chairman Ahmad Nur Ikhsan Finazli, the condition in the emergency room (IGD), radiology, patient rooms, and the condition of hospital services have been checked.

The emergency room was found to be full, health workers who were exposed to COVID-19 received the same treatment as other residents.

"We want to ensure the condition of patients, including nurses and health workers who are exposed to COVID-19, as well as health workers who are in the state of tiredness of providing services to the people," he said.

Head of the hospital's technical guidance and counseling Harun Nurrasid appreciated the visit of members of Banjarbaru DPRD. 

"Previously there was a pile-up of patients in ER, but is has been handled. The treatment rooms are full, only two remaining are empty," he said. 

The condition of health workers is currently experiencing fatigue due to serving so many patients. In addition, several nurses were exposed to COVID-19, so they had to undergo self-isolation. 

"Most likely we will add 15 to 20 health workers, especially nurses, to help deal with high health services," he said.
