Head of the Barabai chapter of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) Budiawan said that his agency has distributed medium rice of the best quality to beneficiary families (KPM) in six districts in South Kalimantan.

"This is the government's national program in an effort to fulfill food need, especially rice, during the implementation of community activities restrictions (PPKM)," said Budiawan after handing over rice aid at the Mandingan Village Office, Barabai Sub-district, Central Hulu Sungai (HST), Wednesday (July 21, 2021).

The six districts, which are the working area of the Barabai chapter of Bulog, are HST, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), North Hulu Sungai (HSU), Balangan, Tabalong, and Tapin.

"There are about 773 tons of rice we distributed to 773 thousand KPM in the six districts. Per KPM received 10 kilograms of the best medium type of rice," he said.

He explained that those who received the rice aid were KPM registered with the Family Hope Program (PKH) from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The providing of rice aid is carried out during the PPKM set by the government," said Budiawan.

He also ensured that food supply, especially rice, in the six districts remain safe during the PPKM."Our rice stock is even sufficient until the end of the year," he said.
