Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - All the inhabitants of the Banjarmasin Assembly building, from civil servants to legislators, ready to undergo urine tests to make sure no one is using drugs, said Secretary of the assembly Fathurrahim.


To reporters in Banjarmasin City Council on Wednesday, Fathurrahim said the letter from the Banjarmasin's National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has been accepted that there will be a urine test for all employees on the 18th May as for the 45 members of the assembly have not been scheduled yet due to go through the Consultative Body (Banmus) Banjarmasin DPRD.

"But it could be directly together, we wait the schedule," he said.

As is known, drug tests for civil servants is an order of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Yuddy Chrisnandi to ensure that public servants are ensnared no illicit goods.

Separately, Chairman of the Banjarmasin's DPRD Iwan Rusmali expressed full support if BNN, either of province's BNN or city's BNN, to conduct test drugs for assembly members.

"We welcome the drug test for us, as each representative of the people is supposed to give an example of a drug-free," said the Golkar politician.

Though earlier, he admits, when the process ran in the last election all have undergone drug examination as a requirement by the KPU.
