Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mayor Banjarbaru Ruzaidin Noor promotes Banjar tribal fabric, Sasirangan, riched with embroidery or various motifs.
"Sasirangan cloth has many motives in South Kalimantan, but Banjarbaru has its own characteristics due to combined with embroidery resulting in brighter and arise," he said in Banjarbaru on Saturday.
The mayor was promoting superior product at the opening of "Banjarbaru Fair" in 2015 in the field Murjani which lasted five days from the 25 to 29 April 2015.
According to him, embroidered Sasirangan is a superior product for Banjarbaru specifically shown in the annual event commemorating the 16th anniversary of the city. It is always introduced in any official activity.
"Embroidered Sasirangan used as souvenirs for guests and others who visit here and we hope this specific of Banjarbaru favored by many people," he said.
South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin, represented by the Regional Secretary M Arsyadi, said he supports the efforts of the municipality to displays its superior products.
"We support it because superior product could be known so as to grow the creative economy," he said when attended the opening event.
