Head of Banjarmasin Social Agency Iwan Ristianto said two urban villages, Belitung Utara in West Banjarmasin, and Alalak Utara in North Banjarmasin, is chosen to be pilots of Center for Social Welfare with Integrated Referral Service System (Puskesos SLRT).
"This is the Social Affairs Ministry's program," he said here, Friday.
He explained that the Puskesos-SLRT is to improve social welfare with integrated, responsive, and targeted service and to support the acceleration of poverty and vulnerability reduction which is a global commitment contained in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"There will be Puskesos-SLRT application from the Social Affairs Ministry," he said.
"So later, public complaints about handling poverty will no longer need to come to the Social Office, but it will be served by appointed officers from the urban village office," Iwan pointed out.
According to him, there are 26 types of complaints to be handled, among them are victims of social disasters, neglected elderly, homeless, disabled, victims of violence, and prostitutes.
"So the pilot project urban villages are until December 2021, (then) starting January 2022 for other 52 urban villages," he explained.

The socialization for Belitung Utara and Alalak Utara as Puskesos-SLRT pilot project was held at the North Banjarmasin Sub-district office.
The socialization was attended by representatives of the Social Affairs Ministry Ema Masruroh, acting Secretary of Banjarmasin City Mukhyar, and other city government officials.
"We are very grateful to the central government has helped a lot in terms of poverty," said North Banjarmasin Sub-district Head Apiluddin.
Meanwhile, Mukhyar hopes that the program will be able to improve services in the welfare of Banjarmasin City residents.
