Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - The House of Representatives member from Commission I H Syaifullah Tamliha informs, five Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) from South Kalimantan freed from qishash or  death penalty by beheading in Saudi Arabia.


"Repatriation of five South Kalimantan residents who are free from beheading just waiting for a letter from the Minister of the Interior of Saudi Arabia," said a member of Commission I overseeing foreign affairs to reporters in Banjarmasin on Friday.

However, member two periods of the House of Representatives of South Kalimantan origin did not specify the names of Banjarese, only the name of Iham et al.

Commission I togehter with the RI Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a working visit to Saudi Arabia in March, among others, discuss Banjarese workers facing death row.

"They were free thanks to the struggle of the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including pay compensation to families of victims by 1.2 million rials," he said.

In addition, no less important forgiveness from the victim families to Banjarese who killed a Pakistani citizen. "It was all over the role of diplomacy with the ranks of the Foreign Ministry," he said.

Young politician from the United Development Party (PPP) was reminded the events must be a lesson to who ever works or want to work abroad as Indonesian migrant workers (TKI).
