Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Directorate of Special Criminal South Kalimantan Regional Police arrested driver while securing two truckloads of iron wood without official document in Anjir, Barito Kuala.


"Two trucks are secured because when carrying wood do not have official documents," said Deputy Director of Special Criminal (Ditkrimsus) AKBP Asep Taufik in Banjarmasin on Monday.

Truckloads of ironwood were secured on Friday (13/3) when crossing the Jalan Trans Kalimantan kilometer 28 Subdistrict Anjir, Barito Kuala (Batola), South Kalimantan.

The arrest was based on the information of society that many trucks carrying ironwood. Police then carried investigation and found it correct and the police managed to secure two trucks loaded with processed ironwood and arrested the driver of the truck.

The truck loaded with ironwood processed with an amount of about 10 cubic meters by two meters long and there are also four meters.

"We asked the driver about the document of the timber they just speechless and could not show what the police asked," he told reporters.

The driver confessed however the ironwood belonged to someone and the police continue to investigate and develop in the field.

"Two drivers were suspected of conducting criminal in illegal logging as set out in article 83 which paragraph (1) letter b Sub Article 83 Paragraph (2) b in conjunction with Article 12 paragraph e of Law Decree No. 18 Year 2013 concerning the Prevention, Eradication and Forest (P3H)," he said.
