Good news for residents of Barito Kuala (Batola) District, South Kalimantan, who suffered damage to their houses due to floodings. 

The Batola government through Deputy Regent H Rahmadian Noor received a ready-to-use fund (DSP) for damaged houses stimulant from the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) in Jakarta IDR16.4 billion for 1,606 houses with details of 1 severely damaged, 26 moderately damaged, and 1,579 slightly damaged.  

“This assistance is intended for residents whose houses were damaged due to floods that hit a number of sub-districts, including Mandastana, Alalak, Jejangkit, Rantau Badauh, and Cerbon (in January-February 2021),” said Deputy Regent.

Although the realization is still waiting for the BNPB transfer, he explained that residents whose houses were severely damaged will receive IDR50 million, moderately damaged IDR25 million, and lightly damaged IDR10 million. 

He added that the recipients, in accordance with the BNPB guidelines, must first complete several administrative requirements.

In addition to damaged house stimulant, he said, Batola also proposed for infrastructure repairment, which is still in the discussion stage with the central government.
