Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - ISIS radical movement threatens to plant a bomb on the Kalstar flight to Sampit, Central Kalimantan, causing alert in Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Airport.


"The bomb threat received by management of Kalstar in Jakarta by fax at around 13:30 pm," said Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Harun Yuni Aprin in Banjarbaru on Monday.

The threat is directly delivered to Syamsudin Noor Airport which has a route to Sampit, and continued coordination to the police.

Banjarbaru Police responded to the threat by direct coordination with the bomb squad unit of the South Kalimantan Police Mobile Brigade. They immediately check the Kalstar aircraft on the apron of airport.

"Members of the bomb squad checked the entire aircraft, including passenger goods that have been raised to the aircraft inspected," he said.

Examination in the aircraft cabin and passenger belongings using bomb detection equipment and sniffer dogs found no bomb.

"Investigation is still underway and so far not found any suspicious objects or goods in plane and passengers goods," he said contacted at 18:00 pm.

Kalstar Sampit bound is scheduled to depart at 15:00 pm, but the incidence of bomb threats and aircraft inspection ultimately delayed the flight schedule.
