The Banjarmasin Youth and Sports Agency supports a drive to continue to build traditional sport places by utilizing public facilities in the neighborhood or housing area.
Head of Youth and Sports Agency M Taufik Rivani considered the drive carried out by the Indonesian Recreational Sport Federation (FORMI) of Banjarmasin was very good to the community, especially for young people to always be healthy.
"This movement makes use of public facilities, so there are more places to play and sport in the city," he pointed out.
In terms of the interest of the public, he said, the city government would certainly approve the public facilities land, which becomes regional assets, to be used for playing and sports facilities.
"The land for public facilities is handed over by the developer to the city government through Housing and Residential Areas Office, of course, the use of it should have the government's permit," he said.

"Regarding the budget, FORMI gets grant funds from KONI, while KONI receives the grant funds from the city government, thus how they synergize," said M Rivani.
Meanwhile, he said, his agency also continues to build professional sports facilities, such as soccer fields in each sub-district.
