Tanah Laut District received plantation assistance, especially for People's Palm Oil Replanting (PSR) or palm oil rejuvenation program worth IDR16.7 billion.
The assistance that was handed over by acting Governor Safrizal ZA at the start of the implementation PSR in Kait-Kait Village, Monday (April 12, 2021) consisted of 500 hectares PSR assistance worth IDR15 billion, pumping irrigation IDR88 million, building 3 km plantation road IDR570 million, construction of garden connecting bridge IDR195 million, cattle pen for Alabio ducks village 20 square meters IDR20 million.
Then, 900 ducklings IDR90 million, procurement of 14 cows IDR196 million, the building of coffee processing unit and coffee machinery IDR327 million, and opening 10 hectares coffee planting IDR196 million.
Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture's Directorate General of Plantation Agus Hartono said that the central government has a budget for farmers to carry out PSR. Tanah Laut, he added, will get bigger assistance for PSR.
"The existing is 500 hectares, could become 1,000 hectares. I am ready to disburse the fund," he pointed out.

Tanah Laut Regent HM Sukamta appreciated the implementation of PSR in his district. Especially, since there is an independent CPO mill here ready to accept smallholder palm oil, thus farmers no longer have trouble selling.
"Even the sale price is quite good and now it is in the range of IDR2 thousand/kg," he said.
Sukamta hopes farmers are serious about developing palm oil, especially since the central government gives support through the PSR program, and it does not rule out other programs.
