Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A spokesman for PT Adaro Indonesia Hikmatul Amin, denied if the coal mining company in Balangan and Tabalong, South Kalimantan, did eviction of the  
local settlement.


"We never evict anyone and anything, either home or land. In the activity our company has always follows the mechanisms and the rule of law," he told reporters in Banjarmasin on Monday.

"No way we displace the land, especially where the person lives, because the company must deal with the law," he said responding to citizen complaints to Balangan's DPRD.

According to the spokesman for the first generation coal mining company in South Kalimantan, if citizens are still not satisfied with the settlement of land issues and their residence, please through legal channels.

He regretted land issues on "Earth Sanggam" Balangan with the mining company resurfaced, since they were finished about a year ago.

The land for coal mining activities that have long been purchased from the public with a true sale. But still they occupy the land, because the company has not utilized.

"Therefore, when companies want to take advantage of it, so naturally the company requested that the person who occupies, that is not his right anymore, to leave it," said Hikmatul Amins.
