The Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Council (DDII) of South Kalimantan chapter distributed 2,000 copies of Al-Qur'an in three flood-affected areas, namely Banjar, Barito Kuala, and Central Hulu Sungai (HST) districts, Saturday (Feb 13, 2021).

Chairman of the South Kalimantan DDII Ustadz H Chairani Idris said the distribution of Al-Quran was inspired when the organization, which engaged in da'wah, provided basic food assistance to flood victims.

In fact, due to the flood disaster, not only mosques, mushallas, and Islamic boarding schools were submerged, but Al-Quran copies as well, and some were even washed away by the flood, said the founder of the center learning of Alquran Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (TPA) in Indonesia.

Indeed, Al-Quran is a very necessary reading for Moslem, especially during the fasting month which is now approaching Ramadhan 1442 Hijri, continued the Chairman of the Family of Indonesian Islamic Students Association (KB-PII) of South Kalimantan chapter.

"The 2.000 copies of Al Qur'an were the results of aid raising from donors who willingly set aside their income for amal," said Chairani Idris.
