As many as one thousand packages of assistance from the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo for flood victims in Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District, South Kalimantan, distributed by the military and the police (TNI-Polri) on Wednesday (Jan 20, 2021).

Commander of 1002/Barabai Military Command Lt. Col. Inf. Muh Ishak H.Baharuddin released the distribution of the assistance through Babinsa (village supervisory non-commissioned officers) and Bhabinkamtibmas (Police public order officers) accompanied by village officials to directly distribute them to the affected residents.

"We bring village apparatus to ensure residents who are eligible to receive the assistance, because Babinsa, Bhabikamtibmas, and they who know exactly the real conditions in the field, and which residents are affected or not by the flood disaster," he said.

The package of assistance from the President is a concrete manifestation of the government's concern for the people who are currently being hit by floods.
