Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Residents of the Balangan District hope that local provincial assembly to help resolve their problems with PT Adaro Indonesia.

They convey their hopes in a meeting with Commission III South Kalimantan DPRD for Development and Infrastructure guided by its chairman H Bardiansyah in Banjarmasin, Thursday.

In the meeting, which was attended by Chairman of the DPRD Hj Noormiliyani Aberani Solomon, Balangan residents brought issues they face, such as land acquisition, displacement of elementary school buildings, and other public facilities.

For example, land tenure rights belong to citizens which was already certified since the opening of the people special nucleus estate  (Pirsus) in the form of rubber plantations in the 1990s.

Land tenure by buying through other people (not the owner) only on based certificate, not land title.

Member of Commission III Riduansyah SH MH who is also the origin of Balangan expressed his concern about the suffering of people affected by coal mining companies.

For clarification of these issues, the Commission III scheduled a meeting with the management of PT Adaro in Banjarmasin, which is scheduled for December 5, 2014.
