Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Three subdistricts in North Hulu Sungai designated as a target area of poverty alleviation programs.


North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Regent H Abdul Wahid in Amuntai on Monday said the three subdistricts are South Amuntai, Sungai Pandan and Babirik.

HSU District Government is targeting the poor population in 2015 will be reduced by 158 people, or about 1.04 percent of the number of poor people currently 15,228.

Wahid explained that the enactment of three subdistricts in the poverty reduction program in 2015, because these three have found most populated poor.

Based on the structure, the number of poor people in the HSU is dominated by farming communities. Thus, poverty alleviation programs by local governments prioritized on agriculture, fisheries and livestock.

The strategy focusing on the poor who are in one cluster, ie those receiving social assistance programs based on the family, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Community Health Insurance (Jamkesmas), Poor Rice Receiver (Raskin), and Poor Students Scholarship (BSM) with improvement targets on poor households.

In addition, the Government HSU targeting unemployment rate fell by 5.08 percent.
