Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tanah Laut Association of Indigenous Peoples or PERMADA asked the local government as a mediator in resolving disputes between Kintap Pura resident with the palm oil company, PT Indoraya Evertex and PT Smart.
"Our visit to the Regent's Office along with dozens of residents to ask the district to be a mediator of plasma land disputes with PT Indoraya Everlatex and PT Smart," said Field Coordinator, Syahrun, after a demonstration in front of the Tala Regent office, Thursday (20/11).
According to him, the problem of plasma land disputes owned by residents occurred since 1996 and has several times tried to settle through district government mediation until now there has been no realization.
"The amount of land owned by Kintap Pura citizens expropriated by PT Smart 670 hectares and by PT Indoraya Everlatex 700 hectares," he explained.
They also questioned the status of the right to cultivate (HGU) of plasma land owned by residents.
Tala Kesbanglinmaspol head, Mohammed Noor, confirms the aspirations of citizens will be followed up and reported to the regents.
"The team from the district administration will call PT Indoraya Everlatex and PT Smart for clarification or to be questioned," he said.
In addition, the team will soon conduct a working visit to the company, following the results of the meeting at the district level and mediate further and submit the results of the meeting to the Regent.
