Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The cruise ship from the United States with 90 passengers stop in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, to make a series of visits to several attractions in this area.


Regional Secretary of Banjarmasin, Zulfadli Gazali, here on Tuesday said the tourists who previously traveled from Singpura, then Kumai and Banjarmasin docked at the Port of Trisakti Banjarmasin on Monday (13/10) night.

"In the morning they were to travel to the Floating Market Lok Baintan and Martapura jewelry market," he said.

According to Zulfadli, who welcome the tourists, most of them are British citizens, their arrival to Banjarmasin should be opportunities to promote a variety of potential that exist in this area.

The tourists are transported by the National Geographic Orion cruise ship, which is designed for the tour of Southeast Asia, such as Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, some islands in Indonesia, and specifically to Kalimantan.

The ship, piloted by captain Vincent Taillard, was launched in 1990. It has five decks, with a tonnage of 4,077. While the passenger capacity of 100 people, but if it becomes a passenger ship, the ship was able to accommodate 4,000 people.

After Banjarmasin, the ship sailed again on Tuesday afternoon, continue its journey to the island of Komodo and planned to end in Bali.
