The Kotabaru Regency opens investment opportunities in the tourism sector and development of an industrial area that integrates the supporting area and infrastructure in the  2020 fiscal year.

Kotabaru DPRD Speaker Syairi Mukhlis was speaking after attending a regional coordination meeting regarding the preparation of the need for a pre-feasibility study document, Monday.

He said, at present, the government of Kotabaru is opening up opportunities for the widest possible investment network in the tourism and industry, especially smelters which will later integrate infrastructure and supporting facilities.

"This meeting is in the context of preparing a map of investment opportunities for strategic priority project that is ready to be offered in the tourism sector and the development of industrial estates that are integrated with the supporting area and infrastructure," he said.

The PDIP politician said that this is to make it easy for investors to know the greater potential in Kotabaru, so they are interested to invest in Bumi Saijaan (Kotabaru's nickname).

In addition to its huge potential, the very safe and conducive situation and condition of Kotabaru become a special attraction for investors.

"In synergy with that, to obtain certainty and guarantee of security, regulations will be made to facilitate the entry of investment into our area," explained Syairi while expecting the role of the central Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) in promoting Kotabaru.

Furthermore, the former village head said, the entry of investment into the region will bring may major impact on the economic growth of the people, from creating jobs to the growth and development of small and medium enterprises.

"This effort will synergize with the central government program that echoes economic empowerment, especially the small and medium business sector with a very large budget," he said.
