In the midst of the efforts of North Hulu Sungai (HSU)district government to promote reading interest, it turns out that the figures of young writers are somewhat forgotten.

The HSU Library and Archives Agency (Dispersip) is not so sure about the number of the district's writers, for the reason some have not submitted their writings or recorded works.

"During a meeting dialogue of South Kalimantan Library with HSU writers, as well as the socialization of Law No. 13 of 2018 and iKalsel application, we invited about 25 writers," said HSU's Dispersip official Magdalena recently.

However, Magdalena did not know for sure how many writers are in HSU, let alone those who have produced books.

"That's why we socialize Law No 13 of 2018 concerning handover of printed and recorded works, so the local writers can participate in saving local content (regional collection) in HSU," said Head of HSU Dispersip Lailatanur Raudah.

She said, South Kalimantan Dispersip ready to facilitate senior and young writers to continue to be creative in producing writing works.

One of which through displaying their writings in the iKalsel digital library application, which was launched in 2018.

"The writers are obliged to submit their work of book to the Dispersip, then its form of e-book is displayed in iKalsel," she said.

Lailatanur said, the HSU Dispersip plans to launch the iHSU digital library in 2021 which is expected to accommodate more works of HSU writers.
