Balangan, the host of the 4th Provincial Golden Voice of Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ Suara Emas) of the Broterhood of Qari-Qariah and Hafiz-Hafizah (IPQAH), which was held virtually from September 11 to 13, won the third place.

In the hardship of pandemic, the Balangan,s qaris (male reciters), qariahs (female reciters), hafizs (male memorizers) and hafizahs (female memorizers) continued to show their seriousness until they made achievements.

Head of the Balangan Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs HM Yamani said, even though has limited human resources, in quality they can compete other participants in the provincial arena.

"Alhamdulillah, participants from Balangan have proved their competence. They even won 3rd place out of a total of 164 participants from 10 districts and cities in South Kalimantan," said Yamani.

No less encouraging, Yamani continued, Balangan successfully hosted the 4th MTQ Suara Emas.

"Whereas most of the budget is focus on handling COVID-19. However the MTQ ran smoothly as expected," he said.

Meanwhile, head of the event organizer H Albani Abbas hoped this event would motivate the participants to learn more deeply about the knowledge of Qur'an recitation.
