Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of South Kalimantan Regional Police thwart fuel smuggling types of subsidized diesel as much as 15 tons.

"The diesel fuel was planned to supply Central Kalimantan," said Deputy Director of Ditreskrimsus Joko Purwanto in Banjarmasin, Monday.

He describes using two car smuggling diesel tank was revealed on Wednesday (13/8) and around 00.30 pm on the Trans Borneo Road, Trantang area, Subdistrict Mandastana, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan.

Police has secured evidence, two tank cars. A Fuso with plate number DA 1620 AE loaded with 10 ton and DA 9355 PG loaded with five tons of diesel fuel.

"The owner of the diesel fuel, AS (30), named as a suspect and is arrested," he said.

Alleged smuggling was the two tanker trucks have no complete document. It was confirmed by the police investigation that many distant days of subsidized diesel fuel smuggled into Central Kalimantan.

Mode of smuggling thousands tons of subsidized diesel fuel carried by means of collecting fuel from various reseller at Liang Anggang, Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan.

According to the AS, diesel fuel bought from reseller for Rp4.800 to Rp5.200 per liter, and can be sold Rp9,800/liter.

According to Joko, AS can be prosecuted under the Law Number 22 Year 2001 on Oil and Gas with the threat of two years in prison.
