Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - No surge of mudik (homebound) travelers back through Terminal Induk Km 6 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, yet to be seen till D+1.

Antaranews also observed, on Tuesday, no reverse flow of mudik Eid travelers outside Terminal Induk Km 6 Banjarmasin yet to be seen.

When asked for comment, Chief Unit (UPTD) of Terminal Induk Km 6 Banjarmasin, M Yusuf, estimates, the reverse flow of travelers will begin at D+3 and D+5 and will peak on D+6.

The reason is that the travelers may want to take advantage of the long holiday period up with friends in their hometown, especially for civil servants (PNS) and students.

As per the calendar, civil servants go to work starting August 4, 2014 or D+7, so do school activities for students.

"Unless for travelers who are trader, they should return immediately or at the latest on D+3 in order not to lose revenue," he said.

But he could not be sure, whether all backflow of travelers of Eid 1435 H will be through Terminal Induk Km 6 Banjarmasin.

According to its data, the travelers through the terminal on the D-3 of about 1,000 people, and 2,500 on D-2 . But on D-1 it has been reduced as passenger departures is only hundreds of people.

"We are grateful, Eid 1435 H transport circumstances to D-1 went smoothly and safely. We expect a similar situation occurs in the reverse flow of travelers," said M Yusuf.
