Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - As many as 132 inmates of Amuntai Penitentiary, North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, got Eid 2014 remission and the two of them got free remission. 


Head of the Amuntai Penitentiary, Muhammad Arsyad, here on Sunday, said as the arrival of Eid, correctional institutions re-implement remissions policy for prisoners who meet the eligibility requirements for Eid remission. 

Of the 323 inmates in Amuntai Penitentiary - consisting of 208 inmates and 115 detainees - as many as 132 granted Idul Fitri remission, two of which are free. 

"Not unlike the current remissions of August 17 Independence Day Celebration, we evaluate the the behavior of inmates to get remission for this Eid," said Muhammad Arsyad. 

Remission granted to prisoners varied, ie 15 days, 1 month, 1 month and 15 days, and 2 months . 

During Ramadan, said Arsyad, all inmates scheduled to carry out activities of tadarus and Taraweeh prayers in the mosque in the area of ​​prison.
