Sampit, Central Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Speedboat "Yuliana" carrying 25 Eid mudik (homebound) travellers to Pegatan, Subdistrict of Kuala Katingan, Katingan District, Central Kalimantan, overturned and sank caused three passengers missing.


"The information I received, speedboat with skipper Mohammed Rafli aka Entol capsized in the waters of Batu Mandi on Wednesday (23/7) at 11.00 am," said Head of Katingan Kuala Subdistrict, Rusli. 

The cause of speed boad rollovers still unknown for certain, but presumably due to strong hit rocks. In the incident, the captain managed to escape to the beach with 22 other passengers. 

Meanwhile, as a result of the incident, three passengers comprising one adult and two children missing informed. The names of the missing suspected drowning victim is unknown because it is still in the data collection. 

Until now the missing victims still in search by Water Police, Harbor Master and Port Authority (KSO) and local communities. 

The location of accident was at imarine estuary that make casualties are hard to find. However, water police, KSO and local communities continue to search for survivors. /e
