Kerosene to LPG will be 2015 in HSU

Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Conversion of kerosene to LPG in North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, is expected in 2015, says The Economic and Natural Resources of the HSU Regional Secretariat, Amiruddin. 

"Information we received, Insya Allah the conversion for HSU came into effect at the end of Eid, or no later than early 2015," said Amiruddin in Amuntai Wednesday. 

He said information from PT Pertamina, as many as 70 thousand packets are ready to be distributed to the entitled people. 

According to him, if the conversion of kerosene to gas take effect, then there will be no more shortage of kerosene problems, as happened recently, when the kerosene scarcity often occurs at the consumer level. 

He said, HSU prone to kerosene scarcity. It happened, because HSU is the only district in the region of "Banua Anam" untouched by kerosene to LPG conversion program. 

The selling price of kerosene at retailers, he said, are often more expensive than the price of gasoline, with the profit achieved two to three times.
