Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The surge of mudik (homebound) travelers begin to be seen at the Terminal Induk on Jalan A Yani Km 6 Banjarmasin, since the 6 days (Tuesday, 7/22) before Ied, if the estimated 1 Shawwal on July 28, 2014. 

"In fact the surge has reached 20 percent of travelers to all majors destination," said Head Unit of (UPTD) Terminal KM6 Yusuf M. to South Kalimantan Antaranews when met on Wednesday. 

According to him, the increasing number of passengers/travelers to occur in major inter-city inter-province (AKAP) reaches 400-350 people on Tuesday (22/7), whereas on a typical day only about 300 passengers. 

Therefore, if the usual departure only four to five bus, now has reached eight buses, said Yusuf, who had for years as Head Unit of Terminal Km 6 Banjarmasin. 

He revealed, all majors AKAP buses, both Banjarmasin - East Kalimantan (Kaltim) or Banjarmasin - Central Kalimantan are almost full of passengers. 

As for public transport for Provincial Intercity destination, either  Banjarmasin- Hulu Sungai or Banjarmasin- Batulicin and Kotabaru also increased. "In typically only about 300 passengers, but today (22/7)  has reached 400-450 passengers," he said. 

He said, the atmosphere is relatively normal. Passenger cars not too crowded, although this time the terminal on the condition of total renovation.
