Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - "Tiga Roda" cement producer, PT Indocement, has entered the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) for its longest shipping by trian from West Java to East Java. 

Corporate Secretary of PT Indocement, Evi Juliana, accompanied by Indocement Plant 12 Tarjun Operations Manager, H Akhmadi, in Kotabaru, on Saturday said the record obtained due to the distance cement deliveries reached 1,060 kilometers in one go from Station Nambo, Bogor, to Banyuwangi Baru Station. 

"The opening of the delivery of cement by train Nambo III was on June 3, 2014," said Evi. 

She explained that before Nambo III, Indocement also been making deliveries of cement by rail from Palimanan to Purwokerta, Central Java, and from Citeureup, Bogor, to Port Kalimas, Surabaya. 

"By using the train, there was a significant cost efficiency," said Evi without elaborating. 

The cost-efficiency of the distribution is expected to reduce the overall cost of production and marketing, so as to affect the selling price of cement to consumers. 

She added, Indocement now building a cement factory (brownfield) 14th factory in Citeureup factory complex with a capacity of 4.4 million tons per year and expected to be completed in the 3rd quarter period of 2015. 

Indocement also currently completing a feasibility study to build a new cement plant in Central Java and other outside Java with a minimum capacity of 2.5 million tons per year. 

Therefore, the total installed capacity currently at 20.5 million tons (18.6 million tons and 1.9 million tons of VRM) of cement per year. 

Until now Indocement has 40 batching plants and 648 truck mixers with a total production capacity of 4.4 million metercubic. 

Indocement currently has three complex factories, namely Citeureup, Palimanan, and Tarjun, and six terminals, namely Tanjung Priok, Tanjung Perak, Banyuwangi, Denpasar, Lembar and Samarinda.
