The government of North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, will carry out mass swab test during August 14-17 with a target of 200 people per day centered at the local Health Office.

Head of the mass swab test implementation Sugeng Riyadi in Amuntai on Wednesday said, the swab test is divided into two groups. The first is the general public totaling 110 people facilitated by 13 public health centers (puskesmas).

"People who will be swabbed are those who have close contact with positive patients as well as those who have a high risk," Sugeng said.

The second group to be tested is the State Civil Apparatus (ASN/PNS) from government working units (SKPD), sub-districts, including village and urban village apparatus.

"Indeed the target given by the provincial government for HSU is 503 people, but we are trying to make 503 people the minimum target, " he said.

The Viral Transport Medium (VTM) given by the South Kalimantan provincial government is as many as 550 people, while those in the HSU are 200, so there is a possibility that additional targets are needed.

Sugeng conveyed his gratitude from the HSU regent to the provincial government for sending VTM which is the yang medium for carrying nasal and throat mucus specimens.
