The district of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, is said to move toward a green zone, as the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 continues to increase. Until Wednesday, as many as 129 people had recovered from the highly contagius disease.

PR Coordinator of the Tanah Bumbu Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 Ardiansyah here on Wednesday said, from a total 162 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the district, 129 people had declared recovered and allowed to go home.

"Corona patients from Tanah Bumbu who are now under treatment or undergoing quarantine at the hospital in Banjarmasin and Hambulung are 30 and three people died," he said.

He pointed out that if the number of patient recovered from corona keeps increasing it does not rule out that the status of Tanah Bumbu becomes a green zone.

However, he warned, all must remain alert and cautious in doing daily activities by complying to the health protocol, such as keeping a social distance, wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, consuming a health food and multivitamin.

Meanwhile, the status of two out of ten sub-districts, that were previously red, have dropped to yellow or mild infections for cases of local transmission.

"This is thanks to our collaboration between the local government and all level of society in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Let's continue to carry out the government call by adhering to and implementing the health protoco," he concluded.
